Our father, John K. Goldberg, served in the United States Army during World War II. He identified and recorded the names of 196 men in his Company D from the large, panoramic photo featured on this page.

How do you find someone?

• Look at the list of names below to find whether a name is in the photo (or use the find option, usually ctrl+f, to search for a name).
• If you recognize a name, note the number next to his name
• Click on the larger photo and look for the number+man's picture
• The smaller numbers are at the bottom of the photo
• Numbers increase from left to right on each line

Is this your father, grandfather, a friend or relative?

If so, please let us know since there are other photos of these men.

Many army records of people who served from 1912 to 1959 were destroyed in a huge fire in 1973, which makes these photos more personally valuable for relatives of these veterans.
